The main improvement in this new Super Mario Run update comes in the form of what Nintendo is called “Remix 10.” That conceptual idea introduces ten individual super-short courses which are presented to the user one after the other. Princess Daisy is lost somewhere in the middle of those courses, meaning that if the user plays the courses enough times over then the likelihood is that they will eventually unlock Daisy as a playable and rare character.

Nintendo has also added additional bonus content through the integration of Bonus Games and a Super Bonus Game to unlock new buildings for a user’s kingdom.

If you happen to love Super Mario Run but are under the impression that it needed more forests, ships, and action in the air, then you are likely going to love the new full-size courses, including the World Star world which offers all of the aforementioned experiences. Users are also able to unlock and gain new customization options throughout the game which is based on constant interaction with the Remix 10 experience.

Finally, from the main feature perspective, games within Toad Rally won’t be matched against other plays with a hugely varying Toad population in order to try and keep things fairer.

The Japanese company has finished the release off with a small update which ensures that all playable characters are given a cute little set of headphones when the user is listening to their own music while playing the game. Nintendo is still offering the game as a free-of-charge download with the full game costing $9.99 to unlock, with that price being slashed to $4.99 as a limited time promotion to celebrate the release of this big update.

He's here! We're all about pulling off stylish moves with a single tap, thanks to super-simple, one-touch controls. But collecting all the pink coins? That takes skill. With tons of unlocks (including Luigi!), you’ll be playing this one long after you reach the final flagpole.

Fun game

Love the game. You get to sample for free so you can play a couple levels and the rally for free. After that you have to pay. I got it at a discount on MARIO day (Mar 10). So well worth 5$. 10$ is a steep price but it’s MARIO. They continue to support and add much more. So you get more then just the 6 levels. Also has a remix now that you do 10 short levels all at once. And advance on a game board. Also the 6 levels have goals to complete as well. Like each level has 3 sets of 5 coins. You start out having to get all 5 pink coins that are in certain spots. Then have to get 5 green or whatever color coins etc. over all fun to play and hours of fun. And if complete, still fun to play. Can do time runs etc.
The reason I give a 3 star. Can’t play it offline. Granted most of the time you probably are at a spot with service. But still. I work at a place that don’t always have service. Just something I feel they should have allowed. Even if can’t save progress. It’s a single player game and should have had a way to play offline. I am also not a fan that in order to get some things you have to link to other Nintendo products. I think those things should be unlock able regardless. Just maybe instant if you link. But still a way of not.
But outside that I do enjoy the game. And glad to see it continue to get updates.

Well worth $10

It’s Mario, on mobile, with almost infinite replayability, with controls that are the perfect fix of challenge and simplicity, with many goals to work towards, with updates coming out about every month, with the whole gang of Mario characters (except Wario and Waluigi Nintendo please add them), with so many amazing ideas played out so well, with the best payment system of one time pay and no other in app purchases, with graphics that look exactly like Mario, with gameplay that feels exactly how one button Mario would be like, with a beautiful Kingdom builder, and with the perfect blend of frustration and fun to fill you with happiness whenever you finish a difficult level and get that last set of coins.
I personally do not think there are any cons to this game. Nintendo made a risky move of publishing on the mobile market and it payed off. Instead of buying a $40 Mario game, you can get Super Mario Run. A game that you can take with you everywhere and play everywhere. Good luck trying to bring your Nintendo Switch somewhere and not getting weird looks (no offense the switch is actually a great system). With the mobile gaming market expanding further and further, Nintendo made an amazing game to go with it.
