I'm also using this version and we share the same problem. Firefox saying insecure connection

You may need to roll back until the issue is fixed. MVP's are pressing Windows 10 Team on this now.

The IDT High Definition Audio CODEC driver has been an issue since Creators first rolled out earlier this year, so the 'Windows 10 Team' should be painfully well aware of it by now. Yet they've done nothing.

Update

I just rolled back for the third time after the Fall update hit (I do everything I can to avoid being handcuffed by the dreaded 'Update and Restart' message heralding the unwanted arrival of a Creators update, but I've been unsuccessful thus far; another story this). The roll back did not go well this time (again, another story).

I updated Windows 10 yesterday to the 1709 Windows 10 Fall Creators. The result was no sound. At first, the Troubleshooter said the IDT High Def Audio was not connected, but as I kept updating drivers and rebooting and updating drivers and rebooting, and troubleshooting and rebooting, and Googling solutions and rebooting (you get the idea), I still have no sound but my devices are recognized. I installed the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and now I have sound using external speakers or head phones but no sound from system speakers. I have searched the internet and tried all troubleshooting and nothing works. When Microsoft installs updates on your system, we create a system restore point in case problems arise. Try restoring from that point and see if that fixes your sound problems. For more information, see 'Restore from a system restore point' in Recovery options in Windows 10.

Using my wife's co-administrator account on the PC, I re-installed the Fall Creators Update. And everything is OK, except, of course, the IDT HD Audio CODEC problem. (Mine is that the subwoofer channel no longer works, though it works fine on the earlier build.)

Various fora are littered with posts from people having similar problems with the driver and Creators. Given that the driver works fine with the build (1602?) just prior to Creators, it shouldn't be that difficult to troubleshoot and fix. That is, if the 'Windows 10 Team' is actually on the case. Which apparently they are not.

Fixed the problem by reinstalling IDT High Def Driver already.

Thanks,

Sound
